Some businesses prefer hiring their country's citizens rather than employing people from abroad. This essay will examine the benefits and drawbacks before presenting my own viewpoint.

Firstly, hiring local people not only contributes to the sustainability of company revenue in the long term, but also creates a collaborative environment that can be managed easily. In fact, the company's profit depends on making decisions in different situations such as inflation and recession periods. In these cases, some company owners tend to hire or lay off employees flexibly, without any pressure to retain them. In other words, they tend to be more flexible and able to change to new positions because of market dynamics, whereas international professionals usually require long-term contracts, which limit company owners from adopting the best strategies for their situations. For example, during the pandemic, many international startups failed due to market collapse, and they could not lay off their employees because of moral and legal constraints.

Secondly, attracting talented international people can enhance cultural diversity in the team and also facilitate the creation of customized versions of products. According to findings from startup companies, the more overseas people there are in the team, the more they can learn from other cultures. For instance, the Japanese have a wide range of concepts for collaborating in a team, from simple to complex procedures. When Asian team members join American startups, they create a good workspace full of creativity. In addition, workers of different nationalities can create an opportunity for companies to develop local versions of their products for people who live in other countries based on real needs.

In conclusion, while recruiting local professionals has benefits including increasing the sustainability of revenues, hiring international people can create diversity in the team, which can lead to more creativity and profit. However, I strongly believe that employing people from other nations should be considered more than before because of cultural diversity and customizing products for local people.
